SUMMER FUN AT 41 WHARF STREET

After a month of rain almost every day it seems Summer is finally here in PTLD, ME. CC and I are now on a steady diet of Ramones, Beach Boys and Cape Cod potato chips. Come hang out with us at 41 Wharf Street. We have new summer hours, vintage bikes for rent, some A.P.C. items for the ladies, select Spring stuff on sale and our new Squall Ale brew for after hours fun.

Some friends of mine have started a farm/cooking school, right on the ocean in Licolnville, called Salt Water Farm. Next month they are hosting a week of lobstering, shucking, roasting, smoking, pickling, preserving and distilling with folks from Brooklyn establishments Marlow & Sons, Roebling Tea Room, and Egg. I just bought this dvd from the local record store. It documents Texas and Tennessee mid 1970s-  a golden era in country music. Appearances by Townes Van Zandt, David Allen Coe, Steve Earl, Guy Clark to name a few.  A lot of the footage is off them playing and hanging out in their living rooms, tour busses and trailers. Check out DAC's get up. Never seen a guy so tough in silver glitter boots with 3 inch heels.
