AVEDON AT SF MOMA

Yesterday I walked aimlessly around the city by the bay and was lucky enough to find a Richard Avedon exhibit. On display were prints from his work American West and the 1976 DC portraits for Rolling Stone.  As if that wasn't enough of a blessing, Robert Franks' The Americans was downstairs. Right place, right time.

F/V CASTLE CAPE

Ryan Johnson runs the commercial fishing vessel Castle Cape out of Kodiak, Alaska. He catches Halibut, Cod and King Crab. Last winter we got in touch when he was looking for an "In Cod We Trust" t shirt.  Here are a few pictures he has sent me from life on the Castle Cape. More to come...
