TWO SCOOPS

There's a new ice cream window in town. Located in the heart of the West End, Two Scoops serves up Smiling Hill Farm frozen dairy. They have a Sunday special (only available on Sundays) with homemade southern georgian fudge and graham cracker crust. The coffee is made by Portland's best, Arabica. This stuff melts. 46 Pine Street.

SUMMER FUN AT 41 WHARF STREET

After a month of rain almost every day it seems Summer is finally here in PTLD, ME. CC and I are now on a steady diet of Ramones, Beach Boys and Cape Cod potato chips. Come hang out with us at 41 Wharf Street. We have new summer hours, vintage bikes for rent, some A.P.C. items for the ladies, select Spring stuff on sale and our new Squall Ale brew for after hours fun.

FOREVER. FOR REAL.

My friend Lori got a sick new tattoo. Look familiar?

DEAD RIVER ROUGH CUT

Incredible documentary about a couple of true grit Mainers who got tired of the day to day so they went off the grid to pursue a simpler life of beaver killing and home dentistry. Read some of their doctrine here.

THE MAINE EVENT

Some friends of mine have started a farm/cooking school, right on the ocean in Licolnville, called Salt Water Farm. Next month they are hosting a week of lobstering, shucking, roasting, smoking, pickling, preserving and distilling with folks from Brooklyn establishments Marlow & Sons, Roebling Tea Room, and Egg. LIFE'S A BEACH

But here in Maine it's been raining almost a month straight. I hear this weekend might turn around. Heres to hoping: 25% off beach goods at roguesgallery.com.  Also, we just printed up a graphic t shirt from our deep archive. Only 13 pieces available.
