W.
I saw Oliver Stone's W. this weekend. Not sure what the point of the movie was other than making me wish I could've partied with the guy in 70's West Texas. Soundtrack was killer. Here are a few examples. Alan Jackson holds his own on the single ski and looks good doing it. Does this make anyone else nostalgic?

TOKYO: PIRATES ALLEY
Last month I left the states for the first time in my life to visit Tokyo. Im still downloading and organizing all that I saw there so more posts to come... In the meantime here is a video me wandering streets and alleys late one night. This part of town, which has hundreds of tiny bars, was supposedly an influence for Blade Runner.

NYT: CLASSIC CLOTHING
There was a great article in the Times this week about
recession-era pragmatic style. So into it - lets all get poor and
start dressing better. Alex and RG got a mention too.

MAINE MAN
I did some location scouting for GQ a couple months ago and the results are in the new November issue. Scott Speedman looks great in Maine but for the record, he ain't a Mainer. I can let it slide. Click here for more article. Click here and here for the looks.

ITS THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR
Before:

Oh, why can't I live a life for me?
why should I take the abuse that's served?
why can't they see they're just like me
it's the same, it's the same in the whole wide world

LEVIATHAN!
or, The Whale...
A new book and BBC Documentary by RG fan Philip Hoare, who incidentally wrote a flattering piece about Rogues Gallery in 2005.
Fun fact: Philp used to tour with The Damned.
BEHIND THE SCENES WITH CARTER SMITH
We shot our Spring look book at Carter's house on Bailey Island..
It was just down the rocks from the house I stayed at when I was a kid.
Mike Potter stole the show with his rocky coast looks.

THE BEAST OF TURNER

KILLING IS MY BUSINESS...
... and business is good.
In the late 80s my old man had an office across the street from the Cumberland County Civic Center. One night he came out to find a flaming trash can through the windshield of his new volvo and graffiti all over the sides. The car was totaled and I was kinda stoked. The band playing across the street was Megadeth. 20 years later they came back to the Civic Center. I went in hopes they could incite the same type of fun.
